Meet Your Massage Therapist

Nate Poulton

Upon discovering the immense benefit of therapeutic bodywork on his own healing path, Nate has practiced massage therapy for over six years. Utilizing a blend of acupressure, Swedish, and Myofascial Release techniques, he works gently with your body to promote the innate healing response that naturally arises when the mind quiets and the breath deepens.

Treatments can be tailored toward relaxing muscles and trigger points, decompressing the spine and mobilizing joints, along with releasing old injuries and scar tissue. The deep relaxation response that results from letting go of stress revitalizes the body and leads to faster recovery time after working out.

Whether you are looking to simply relax to cultivate balance and harmony with a full body massage, or seeking to target specific problem areas, come experience the rejuvenation that results from being guided into a deeper awareness of your being.

Meet Your Instructor

Monica Ragan

Monica has been a student of yoga for over a decade, having been a teacher of yoga for almost half that time. She has spent over 500hrs training with Don and Amba Stapleton of Nosara Yoga Institute, is a LMT with over 700hrs of training, and a Thai yoga massage therapist as well. She is influenced by many forms of yoga and movement practices and her knowledge of the human body and its mechanics of movement are intertwined throughout the flows she designs for her classes. When not practicing yoga, you will find her tending to her chickens, ducks, bees and garden or biking, climbing or traveling.

Vinyasa Yoga

Get strong in body and mind, connect with your breath, awaken your senses, and learn how to inhabit your body as Sherika guides you through progressive movement flows, designed to slowly warm the various parts of the body before activating the movement into larger, more powerful postures, balance sequences, and deep stretches.

Classes will range from slow, restorative, joint-focused movement sequences to faster-paced, energy building, sweat sessions that will leave your body feeling opened and alive.

Meet Your Instructor

Sherika Martinez

Sherika has been practicing yoga and martial arts for the past 8 years, climbing and teaching yoga for the past 4 years.

Specializing in Self Awakening Yoga and creating uniquely original Vinyasa flows, she gained her 500-hour Interdisciplinary Yoga and Advanced Training at the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica. She augments her education by regularly attending yoga-based workshops and seminars and teaches consistently as Sage Yoga and Wellness, one of the top yoga studios in Boise.

Skilled at creating a sense of safety, self-empowerment and deep meditative awareness in her classes through careful application of breathwork, soothing verbal cues, and a detailed knowledge of posture alignment as well as subtle physical assists; she is able to help her students invoke a profound fusion of mind awareness with bodily sensation that is both relaxing, invigorating and evocative.

To learn more about Sherika, visit her website www.sherikatenaya.com

In this class we will begin by holding poses for a longer period of time (2-5 minutes) in order to target the interconnectedness of larger muscles groups on the fascial plane. This, in addition to maintaining awareness of the connection of breath and movement, sets you up for a more active flow that will work perfectly as a warm-up for climbing or a cool-down post-climb.
