This 60 minute class, positioned just prior to lunch, is the perfect opportunity to tap-out and take a break.
You will be encouraged to literally hit the pause button as you lay down on your mat: a pause from the swirl of your day, a pause from mediating your experience through others, a pause to digest what life has dished up before taking any more in.
The Yin practice hones your ability to check in with what’s up under your own hood.
Just like any other Yoga out there, you will be employing your attention through your breath.
With a keen interest in releasing the gross tension patterns in the body, the longer holds create space to discover and dissolve any deeper, more subtle holding patterns that divert and leak your energy, preventing you from fully showing up for your present moment.
This practice is restorative sun nature, mostly on the floor, utilizing props to ease you toward a more relaxed and flexible mind-body state.

This class will help link the breath to mindful movement. All-levels are welcome as we start with basic sequences, then add optional heat-builders and challenging variations to the postures. Vinyasa's strengthening and stretching style is a great compliment to climbing. Come destress!
In this class we will explore a variety of different mindful movement practices. Using a more active yoga as the foundation, we will add in movements from qi gong, functional fitness, yin and any other practice I am exploring at the time. By using a variety of practices we will work towards greater mobility and stability in the joint capsules while also bringing greater elasticity to the muscles. My hope is you enter into a somatic space with the intention of focusing on the internal experience of the movement rather than the external appearance or result of the practice. Emphasis will be on connecting movement with breath creating a fun, playful flow.
Get strong in body and mind, connect with your breath, awaken your senses, and learn how to inhabit your body as Sherika guides you through progressive movement flows, designed to slowly warm the various parts of the body before activating the movement into larger, more powerful postures, balance sequences, and deep stretches.
Classes will range from slow, restorative, joint-focused movement sequences to faster-paced, energy building, sweat sessions that will leave your body feeling opened and alive.

Asana began in Boise in 1999 as a manufacturing company producing “Everything Bouldering”. The company grew and became the market leader in custom padding systems for climbing gyms across the US. In 2013, the company evolved and incorporated the Asana Climbing Gym to truly provide all things bouldering. Now in 2016, the gym is expanding into a new facility!
